The flight over was uneventful but lonely. Last time we flew we could start movies at the same time and share them. Not this time. The seat was more comfortable. The flight operated by Air France had great food. Paul slept thru breakfast.
It was another long trek thru CDG airport to terminal G but we needed the steps. Then a half hour bus ride to the terminal. We were able to go in the Air France lounge and Paul could get breakfast. They don't give the gate until 30 min before the flight.
It was a 2-hour flight from Paris to Seville and we didn't expect to be fed, but they fed us. We've already eaten way too much already. At least I have.
We did passport control in Seville and we're met by our VBT guide. Marlyse.
We had to wait a little bit for another couple, then we took the trip to our hotel, which is lovely. The part of town with our hotel is called the Jewish quarter and it has tiny little streets that weave back and forth in compared to the broad avenues in the rest of the city. Our hotel has lovely little winding passageways and it's difficult to find your way to our room and to the main desk.
Thankfully, it has a tiny little elevator that helped us with our luggage.
We went to our room after our presentation from the guide, and took off a few layers because it's very hot here. Our first foray was to go find an ATM. We walked thru a park for Christopher Columbus.
Then go to see Puente de Isabel, which they call Puente Triana.
It's a bridge with circles under the abutments. We walked along the river and found the Mercado Barranco, which has several food shops you can buy things in.
On the way back, we passed the bull ring, and Paul navigated us back to the hotel. When we got to the hotel, Paul expertly navigated us to our room. He is so good at navigation.
