Day 14 Barcelona tour and boarding Enchanted Princess

Today we have a city tour that will drop us off at the cruise ship. It was the most efficient way we could figure to get both done. Lovely breakfast again.

Fulfillment of a lifetime goal! We got met with a sign.

The driver picked us up early, then we picked up another couple and met the bus. It was a minibus. The first stop was at Mont Juic, then we went to the overlook at the museum of Catalonia.

And then to Parc Guell (another Gaudi masterpiece)

then to La Sagrada Familia (yet another Gaudi design)

Then to our cruise ship.

The quick easy part was turning in our luggage. We were sent to a big lounge to await check in. Since we never got our Princess Medallions before we left, we have to wait at the terminal to check-in, and get a medallion. Cannot board the ship without one. We are in group 23, and they are currently working group 20. No clue how long it takes to get thru check in. Once our group was called, we got to the counter, and of course, they could not find our medallions. No kidding! We tried to contact Princess 3 times a month before asking them to send them to us early. They said they could not. So we pretty much knew they would come in the mail AFTER we left San Diego. Sure enough, they never arrived before we left, so now we have this issue. So, since they could not find our medallions at the check-in counter, apparently, they cannot make new ones here either. So they issued us cards to allow us to board. Guess what? They will not accept these cards to board, So we have to stand aside at the on-board security check, and the ship's Guest Services had to make us medallions on the spot. That took about 10-15 minutes, and only THEN could we scan ourselves onboard. What a process!

Once onboard, we found our stateroom, and wandered around little to orient ourselves. Then I went for a massage and Paul did laundry and planned our evening. We ate dinner with some nice folks and played a trivia game. Then wanted to go to bed.
